Secrets
I really liked the discussion that we had in class today! It reminded me of the music video "Dirty Little Secret" by The All-American Rejects. When class was over I went back to my room and watched the video. Towards the beginning of it there is a girl that stands there holding a sign covering her face. On it there is a note written in marker that says, I want to go blind so I don't have to see them together.
I guess that you can interpret this in a lot of different ways but I have my own idea of what it means. In my head, I imagine this girl, the one holding the card, looking at an ex boyfriend and his new girlfriend. It hurts her so much that she would rather not see anything than see them together. No matter how you interpret this, the emotion that girl feels is a very strong one. For anyone to say that they would rather see nothing than something specific is a very rash thing to say.
Even though this girls secret is only one example, everyone in this world has at least one secret. The web page that we saw in class and music video's like The All-American Rejects are just someways that people are able to tell their secrets. Some might be extreme and others may not be a big deal but they are just things that people choose not to tell others about themselves. I really liked the discussion and I think that it would be fun to expand on.

I like your example on this. Ya i totally would agree on your interpretation and i can see how someone would have this secret. But secrets are so interesting! its cool that people can share them in these different ways
it totally reminded me of the dirty little secret video too. i knew i couldnt be the only one...
